During an interview with IGN to promote 10 Cloverfield Lane, J.J. Abrams was asked about the status of the big screen adaptations of the video games Half-Life and Portal, with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens director revealing that both are still in the works.
“[I don’t have an update], but they’re in development,” said Abrams. “We’ve got writers, and we’re working on both those stories. But nothing that would be an exciting update.”
Abrams’ Bad Robot first announced a partnership with developers Valve back at DICE in 2013, although we’ve heard nothing about either project since.
